This episode was the first time that the other universe Olivia was referred to as Fauxlivia. A phrase I coined after the first episode of this season and championed over on TVSquad.com until it became the acknowledged nomenclature after it won an internet vote. I am fully expecting a script writing credit from FOX. Proof below! I post on TVSquad as "apotheos" so look at my comments!
Dr. Fringe creates "Fauxlivia"!
The people resist the genius that is Fauxlivia
Fauxlivia wins the internet vote with 61%!
Anyways, Fauxlivia crediting aside this episode revealed a darker version of Peter. A darker...mass murdering version. All in attempts to get answers from the clones about his purpose with the giant doomsday machine. And now Walter had to keep Peter's dark secret from Olivia.
Is this darker turn of Peter's similar to what happened to Walter that eventually made him tell Bell to take parts of his brain out? And why does the machine only react to Peter? Yes he's from the other side but couldn't anyone from the other side work for it then? Is it his connection with the Observers? Is it because he's spent so much time in our universe?
One thing is for sure Olivia is going to be the one to bring Peter back from the brink. Which is all nice and good but what I really want to see is a 100% functional Walter finally fighting back against Walternate!
Actually, I invented Fauxlivia, see here:

It seems that Peter may be unique in a different way. Yes he has spent all this time in our universe, but there is something more important about him. The Observer who walked into Walternate's lab and distracted him from discovering the cure to Peter's Illness said: He wanted to see the boy in person. Even BEFORE peter came to our world, he was a key figure. I dunno why, but it's got more to do with who he is than where he's lived. Nature...not nurture.
Aren't the Observers masters of time? Could the Observer who visited Peter have came there from the future where he knows what Peter does once he comes to our world?

ReplyDeleteWhat's with no updates for the most recent season? Where did you get your PhD? Online or something?
ReplyDeleteYou're the worst Dr. ever you should go by Mr. Fringe.
Dr. Fringe won't acknowledge this season of Fringe until they bring back the alternate universe!
